That even regular Muni riders seem to be surprised when the train stops even further forward on the incredibly oversized platforms than they remember it.
I’ve asked a good number of fellow riders about it, and most say it catches them off guard every time.
When the train pulls in, a wave of accelerating people push forward from their sweepingly long formation of toe-tapping. It’s most exciting when one can clearly observe group velocity in effect from above.
