Nice weather just makes for pleasant days. Especially on the heels of crumby weather.

Today I went down to Pacifica with my mum and had a lovely brunch at The Moss Beach Distillery. The view was great, and the weather was super cooperative as well.
The strangest part about going down was this Taco Bell in the middle of a state beach in Pacifica. It was just so out of place, but hey, occasionally it’s time for Taco Bell … at the beach.

Came back to the city and went up to Chinatown for a nice dinner with my grandparents. On the way up, I picked up my new and festive March Muni pass and took the cable car for the first time in recent memory. It’s pretty fun hanging off the side of the car and leaning out a bit while making our way up Powell.

We ate at an interesting hole in wall place called Hunan Homes on Jackson. Worth a repeat visit.
My uncle posed the question to my psychoanalyst grandmother what it means when you have dreams about a man with a tumor on his face.
I wondered to myself what’s significant about my recurrent dreams about checkers, chess, Python, and trying to hold society together after finding a way to reliably solve NP complete problems (Actually, I dreamed that I was able to factor arbitrarily large composites in poly time, and somehow it leaked online). Yeah, I’m just nerdy like that.

On my way back down on the cable car, I got to talking with a nice couple visiting town from Massachusetts for Wondercon.
He thought my Kilowatt shirt was a very obscure graphic novel reference. I had no idea what he was talking about.
They were interested in a good Indian place some where in Noma, so I did a little Google Maps Mobile dance and got them on their way to Shalimar.
It felt good to find friendly tourists though. I’m starting to think I should start taking the cable car on weekends for no other reason than to just meet tourists and help them find things.
